Why does Ripple XRP top the list of the most traded currencies today?

“Santiment” platform data reveals the most traded cryptocurrencies on social media platforms and the most discussed topics among traders.

In the platform’s latest report, XRP emerged as one of the most popular cryptocurrencies among users, for a variety of reasons besides market volatility.

Why is XRP gaining so much momentum?

Last week, digital currency markets saw a strong pullback that pushed Bitcoin to its lowest level in seven months.

Although XRP is down 10% on a weekly basis, it has remained relatively stable around $2.15, keeping investors watching its performance with interest.

But “Santiment” explains that price fluctuations are not the main reason why XRP is at the forefront of discussions, but rather due to recent developments in exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The spot XRP fund launched by Canary Capital last week attracted a lot of attention because it was the first U.S. fund to fully invest in XRP.

“Santiment” added that the discussion also included the launch of the first income fund based on XRP options by the company “Amplify”, in addition to discussions on whether exchange-traded funds could help XRP adoption, or if they are merely speculative vehicles.

Discussions about XRP’s potential use in pension funds and settlement systems have also increased, increasing its presence on social platforms.

XRP ETF Update:

After overcoming regulatory hurdles, the XRPC fund was officially listed on Nasdaq on November 12 and began trading one day later.

The fund set a 2025 trading volume record on its first trading day, surpassing the SOL fund launched by Bitwise.

As of November 18, the fund attracted $277.82 million in inflows, according to SoSoValue data.

Although the pace slowed after launch, initial inflows were huge – the fund recorded $243 million on day one and $25.41 million on day two.

Ahead of the data update on November 18, flows are expected to be much lower than on day one but still reflect strong interest in the asset.
