In one of the strangest moments in the cryptocurrency market, users of the Bithumb platform woke up and some of them suddenly found themselves extremely lucky.

Before the platform figured out it was just a fatal keyboard error.

Instead of a random bonus of 2,000 won (equivalent to a cup of coffee), a full 2,000 Bitcoins were mistakenly distributed to hundreds of users.

As usual, the market did not miss this opportunity; some recipients immediately sold Bitcoin, and within minutes the platform price plummeted by about 10%, and the scene was like a collective press of the “sell all” button.

After a few minutes, Bithumb stepped in, suspended the affected accounts and restored the system to normal, confirming that the “gift” was not intentional, and the damage was quickly contained.
