Cryptocurrency funds see record outflows: details

There are many indicators that can be used to infer the state of the digital currency market, including one that has emerged in recent years related to the amount of inflows and outflows from digital currency investment funds, especially cryptocurrency ETFs.

Demand for these funds often means increased investor interest in digital currencies, and vice versa.

Recently, digital asset fund outflows have reached a record high, exceeding $1.7 billion, which is the highest record since November 2025.

According to the “CoinShares” report, the most prominent reasons prompting this exit are:

  • Price action is softer and volatility is down.
  • Interest rate cut expectations fell.
  • Disappointingly, cryptocurrencies do not act as a hedge against currency erosion/inflation as much as they are touted to be.

All of these are factors that have led to increased response and decreased interest from cryptocurrency investment funds, the report said.
