Gunmen attempted to storm the home of Binance France president David Brincey on Thursday morning, signaling a growing wave of crypto-related attacks across France.
French media such as RTL reported that three masked people entered an apartment in the Val-de-Marne area around 7:00 p.m. on February 12. Reports indicated they were armed and searching Brincei’s apartment.
However, the attackers fled after discovering that he was not at home.

Investigators tracked down the suspects via public transportation.

The three men took a train to Lyon. The authorities informed the Lyon BRI unit, which was able to intercept and arrest him at the Lyon-Berache station later that day.
